The Design Process
Want to know how it all works?Here's my design process and where you fit in, in five simple steps.
1. Let's chat
Let's have a coffee (in person, over the phone or by video) to discuss what your newest project is, and how I can help it come to life.
We'll discuss aims, create some goals, outline the project, and agree on a delivery date and cost that's fair for both of us.
2. Laying the groundwork
Based on our discussions, I'll dive into some research.
I will profile the market, the competition, and your stated audience.
I'll also present some similar designs and projects that I or others have done, to establish the vibe you're after.
3. First drafts
Using our initial goals and aims, I'll present two or three design concepts. We'll have a chat about these designs - what you like and what you want adjusted. We'll then pick the best option from these concepts to tune to your liking.
4. Fine tuning
From your feedback, I'll further refine the chosen concept. Generally I allow three revision iterations.
5. A work of art
Congratulations! You'll be the proud owner of a wonderful piece of design, that will hopefully help your business become more successful.
This is where I'll supply you with the final digital or printed product, all the fonts or imagery you need to go forward, and any additional material agreed on at the start of our journey together.
